Festival/party Clicquot in the Snow is back in August to further cement Queenstown’s rep as the country’s ultimate winter party destination. This luxury champagne festival invites locals and visitors to enjoy winter in style thanks to fine champagne and an action-packed events schedule each year. 2017’s programme will serve up four big days of Clicquot-inspired activities and experiences in and around Queenstown.
Both regular events and new attractions are in store this year. The runway show of New Zealand’s leading footwear designer (and Veuve Clicquot ambassador) Kathryn Wilson is always a highlight of the event; the show will take place at the Milford Sounds Flights Hangar this year, giving attendees an exclusive viewing of her spring/summer 17 collection ahead of its release. An exciting new event in 2017 is Clicquot Croquet in the Snow. This unique experience is set to give guests the chance to revel in the alpine scenery that Queenstown is famous for, with a scenic helicopter flight followed by a special landing on a snow-capped peak to enjoy a game of the highest croquet in the Southern Hemisphere (with chilled Veuve Clicquot on hand, naturally!).
The Clicquot Après Bar celebrates the Après Ski scene up at Coronet Peak – hit the slopes, then kick back with a glass of champagne and play some unique Clicquot-inspired games. And special culinary experiences are on offer via the the Clicquot Long Lunch at Rata Restaurant, comprising a a four-course degustation lunch, paired with Veuve Clicquot champagne, and designed by celebrity chef Josh Emett. Other foodie events include Clicquot High Tea at the Skyline, Pier 19 Clicquot Brunches, and Clicquot Flute and Fries available at the Hilton Queenstown.
The four-day celebration concludes with a Clicquot Rosé inspired closing party.
Clicquot in the Snow runs from Thursday 3rd – Sunday 6th August. For further information and tickets, hit up www.clicquotinthesnow.co.nz.
