What surprised you the most about New Zealand? The scenery, very different to Australia!
Your best advice for other travelers: You really don’t have to spend a fortune to have a good time. Try camping / campervans to keep costs down and buy food from supermarkets to cook your own meals. Appreciate the scenery and make sure you chat to the locals.
