• Small boutique style market specialising in NZ-made quality goods and tasty treats. Everything from art and craft to jewellery to cheese and wine and produce. Some of our lovely stalls include NZ art, honey, preserves, oysters, home-cured bacon, woodwork, herbs, plants, soaps, baby clothes, olive oils, cheese, herbal remedies, wooden toys, chocolate & cakes, lavender products, fudge and sweets, outdoor furniture, knitwear, baby gear, etchings and much more. We only allow NZ hand-made goods and no second hand goods or imports are allowed. We also have live music by local performers, usually our local Waipu band "The Time Bandits" play all day, and we often have performers mingling with the shoppers too over the summer. We have a wonderful gourmet cafe where I am sure the Queen would enjoy a cuppa, and they serve lovely espresso coffees and teas and wonderful cakes, slices, and savoury gourmet treats. This small market is great for sourcing handmade items not readily available in the shops. Come along and shop locally for unique handmade gifts - this market is truly unique and changes monthly - well worth a drive. We have at least 60 stalls, 20 of which are either usually new each month or seasonal. Stalls often change monthly, so you may not see the same thing twice. New stallholders welcome, but you do have to book ahead. The regular date for this market is the second Sunday of each month. The market operates rain or shine, and is mostly indoors.
