There is so much to do – visiting a marae and learning the stories and traditions of Maori, fishing for trout in a sparkling alpine stream, enjoying the cafés and nightlife of our metropolitan centres, or watching the sun rise over a mirrored lake accompanied by the birdsong of tui and bellbirds.

There is so much to taste – some of the best fresh food in the world served by top-class chefs, and an array of sumptuous wines from almost every corner of the country.

And there are so many ways to get a thrill – from jet boating, white-water rafting, and bungy jumping, to mountain-biking and playing golf on one of over 400 golf courses.
