After more than three years of planning, the Royal New Zealand Ballet will premiere its biggest production ever in 2011. The Royal New Zealand Ballet will stage one of the most traditional ballets of all times, The Sleeping Beauty.
Set to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s soaring score, The Sleeping Beauty will be the highlight of 2011 and will feature some of the most demanding and famous choreography. You’ll be in for spectacular sets and sumptuous costumes which complement the classical ballet that remains one of the must-see shows of all times. The show, which is choreographed by Greg Horsman and designed by Gary Harris, will tour New Zealand from October 2011 through to December 2011, bringing The Sleeping Beauty right to your doorstep!

26 – 27 November: Napier (Municipal Theatre)
30 November – 4 December: Auckland (The Civic THE EDGE) featuring the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra
7 – 8 December: Rotorua (Civic Theatre)
