Are you hanging in there to see a really good play? In that case we have just the right thing for you. From 29 September till 9 October the prestigious play Kiss Me Like You Mean It by British playwright Chris Chibnall is coming to Christchurch.

Director Garry Thomas of Elmwood Players in Merivale is excited to bring this bitter-sweet romantic comedy to New Zealand. The play, which was shortlisted for the Meyer-Whitworth Award, has been staged in top locations such as Paris and London. “This is a wonderful character-driven play,” says Garry Thomas. “It deals with the tentative beginnings of a relationship between the young couple, and the sadness that the ending of a life-time relationship between the older couple brings. It’s a beautifully written piece, and yes, it does tug at the heart strings.”

Playwright Chris Chibnall is also a famous television writer and producer and is best known for his work on the sci fi series Dr Who, Torchwood and Life on Mars.
