Whether you’ve got a sweet tooth, are a gourmet food lover or simply love to indulge, Wellington has just the right event for you. This weekend the gastronomic extravaganza ‘Wellington on a Plate’ will kick off in the capital city and run on until 29 August.

DINE Wellington will feature around 90 restaurants and cafés and about one third of them will also be competing in the inaugural Burger Wellington. This year the over 80 Wellington on a Plate events will spread out all over New Zealand’s capital city, the Kapiti Coast and the Wairarapa wine region. Choose from hands-on experiences at the ‘Blend Your Own Series; and cocktail and cupcake classes, the popular ‘Behind the Scenes in Two Top Kitchens’ and wine events such as ‘Pinot Speed-Dating’ and ‘30 Years of Great Wine’. And if you like to take the mouth-watering indulgence home, you should check out the daily recipes of top-notch Wellington chefs on WellingtonOnaPlate.com.

For a full list of Wellington on a Plate events check out WellingtonOnaPlate.com and keep checking our blogs for regular updates!
