New Zealand’s most visited food and drink event and awesome exhibition kicked off at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland yesterday and will be running for the entire weekend.

The Food Show Auckland features regional groups of exhibitors from Franklin, Kumeu, Hawke’s Bay and Southland. Get prepared for a culinary mix of food and wine, organics, Fairtrade products, celebrity chefs and heaps of kitchen gear. Sample your way through stands of wines, liqueurs, teas, confectionary, delicacies and much, much more, or watch a celebrity chef cook live at the show! Peter Gordon, Stefano de Pierie, Al Brown, Richard Till and many more super chefs make for an impressive line-up.

Josh Emett’s cooking sessions will be a special highlight. The Kiwi chef is mentored and sent around the world by Gordon Ramsay himself to set up and run his award-winning restaurants! For the full programme visit the official website

Go on and treat your taste-buds!

Single day tickets are $22 for adults, $15 for Under 12s and free for Under 5s at the gate.

The Food Show Auckland 2010: 29 July – 1 August
