Chocoholicis, the countdown is on: this Saturday 23 July the Dunedin Cadbury Chocolate Carnival kicks off! The 2011 Cadbury Chocolate Carnival is on until 29 July and is an event not to be missed, whether you’re planning a family trip during the school holidays or need a break from skiing and snowboarding.

The iconic chocolaty Dunedin week features sweet events for young and old. There will be treasure hunts, chocolate challenges, tours, exhibitions, cooking classes and competitions. How about the mouth-watering Cadbury Dessert Competition, the Cadbury Moro Fun Run or the Cadbury Couture Competition? At the 2011 Cadbury Chocolate Carnival you can even get an indulgent Chocolate Facial at Erban Spa.

One of the highlights is, of course, the Cadbury Jaffa Race on Friday 29 July. In this chocolaty extravaganza you can see thousands of Jaffas race down the steepest street in the world. Another must-do is a tour of the Cadbury Chocolate Factory.

We reckon you should go ahead and eat as much chocolate as you can during Dunedin’s chocolate week. There’s plenty of time to burn those calories afterwards. Choose skiing and snowboarding, cycling or hiking and you’ll have heaps of fun during your workout!
