Dates for the third Manukau Festival of Arts have been announced. The 2010 Manukau Festival of Arts will kick off on 15 October and run right through to 31 October.

And this year’s festival will be bigger than ever. With 38 events lined up you’re in for a diverse, eclectic and colourful two weeks. A highlight of the 2010 festival is Manukau’s premier fashion event, the Villa Maria Cult-Couture 2010, with special performances by Annie Crummer, ReQuest, J Williams and many more. Colour the Sky will be a day of colour and kite flying at Barry Curtis Park on Labour Monday, perfect for the whole family.

Strictly Brown 2, the sequel from last year’s Strictly Brown event, promises to be a great success again with more special guests, live acts and giveaways than ever lined up. Another highlight returning from last year’s Manakau Festival of Arts is the Southside Gig featuring workshops, dance competitions and art performances by some of New Zealand’s hottest talent such as J Williams, PNC, DJ Sir-Vere, Vince Harder and David Dallas.

The official Manukau Festival of Arts programme will be launched on 13 September. To stay tuned, visit www.mfa.org.nz.
