Surrounded by new snow at Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa

Alpine Pacific Triangle

Discover an abundance of activities in a region blessed with unforgettable marine life in a coastal playground, a picturesque alpine spa resort and vineyard-draped valleys.

The Alpine Pacific Triangle is a must-see region that’s home to some of New Zealand’s most renowned experiences. The charming spa resort of Hanmer Springs, set in a valley sheltered by wooded hills, is an enticing destination – breathtakingly beautiful when snow is heaped up around the steaming pools! Kaikoura offers natural beauty of a different kind. Rugged mountains drop to the ocean, where you can encounter remarkable marine wildlife. Further south, the sheltered Waipara Valley is dotted with vineyards, making this the perfect place to sample Canterbury’s renowned wines.
