Walk around the city, taking in the Art Deco architecture that arose after Napier’s earthquake and fire early in February 1931, stroll along the Rotary Walkway on the waterfront, then wander around the boutiques. Enjoy dinner at a restaurant serving local produce.
Day 2
Take a trip to Cape Kidnappers and the gannet colony before lunching at one of the many wineries in the reigion. Afterwards, go to Te Mata Peak, visit a few of the local art galleries or follow the Hawke’s Bay Food Trail.
