You’re never short of things to do in New Zealand. Exploring the natural environment – scenic vistas, glaciers, native bush, majestic mountains, geothermal wonders – is really an absolute must, but you’ll also find all manner of parties, festivals, and entertainment happening all year round. Wine, music, arts and crafts, sports, horse racing, dance, comedy, fashion, flowers, architecture, buskers, scallops and even huhu grubs take their turn. If people like it, it probably has its own festival! In between big dates and scenic natural highlights, there’s any number of activities to get stuck into, from the nation’s wide range of famous adrenaline-surging adventure tourism, to getting out on the water, relaxing at a spa, skiing on a volcano, hitting the golf course, or visiting unique cultural and heritage attractions.
