NZ Fashion Week announces Mercedes-Benz Presents design partner

Cutting-edge label Paris Georgia has been named the Mercedes-Benz Presents design partner for this year’s New Zealand Fashion Week.

The global initiative celebrates designers who are “dedicated to delivering garments of the highest quality, through innovative design and unique style”.

The partnership means Paris Georgia’s Fall Winter 2020 collection will be shown at NZFW alongside two bespoke outfits designed specifically for the glamorous event.

The label’s designers, Paris Mitchell-Temple and Georgia Cherrie, have earned a reputation for producing “instant classics” of the highest quality, which make them an ideal partner for the luxury car company.

Paris Georgia prides itself on high-level craftsmanship, with each custom-made fabric created alongside the supplier to ensure it flatters the women who will wear it.

Mitchell-Temple says the label is dedicated to “discerning beauty and timeless femininity”.

“To that end, we’re always looking to create classic pieces that our customers can wear regardless of trends or seasons”.

The General Manager of Mercedes-Benz Cars New Zealand, Lance Bennett, said he was “honoured” to be partnering with a label that “prides itself in producing garments to make women feel empowered and confident”.

Past recipients of the prestigious accolade include Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam, Camilla and Marc, Dame Trelise Cooper and Kate Sylvester.

NZFW will take place at the Auckland Town Hall and in Aotea Square from August 26 to September 1.
