Snow Farm is New Zealand’s premier cross-country ski area and only Nordic ski resort, regularly hosting overseas cross-country ski teams and offering over 50 kilometres of trails groomed to an international standard for classic and skate skiing. Whether you’re looking for casual family fun in the snow, or a serious skiing adventure, Snow Farm has something to suit. Cross-country skiing is the ideal way to be introduced to winter snow sports, as you learn on a flat area, and both private and group lessons are available at the field’s ski school. There are trails and ski packages to suit all abilities and ages. Lessons, tubing, sledding and snowshoeing are available, or take a tour by snowmobile or even dog sled! Breathtaking views are on offer all over the field, and accommodation for overnight trips is available in two backcountry huts accessed from the groomed trail system. Excellent on-snow accommodation is also available at the well-appointed Snow Farm Lodge, which offers great views over the Southern Alps.
